There is a quilt show in Issaquah coming up you should check out. Sponsored by a very active quilt group.

A friend encouraged me to enter a quilt in the Puyallup Fair. I decided to submit "Dot's My Tie" made from cutting up 3 of my dress shirts and sewing circles cut from 140 ties. They must have thought I did okay because when we found it at the fair yesterday, it had a 3rd place ribbon attached!

First slice of the first Gravenstein Apple pie of the season. Always a treat while they are in season. But it's getting harder to find them. So dang delicious!!!

Another top ready to go for quilting on the long arm. I was thinking I got carried away with using up too many strips of scrap fabric, but when I shared it with my quilting group, someone wanted to buy it! Now I'll take that as a compliment!

Next quilt waiting to go to Issaquah for quilting. It was fun to do the "interlocking" strips.

Here's the latest quilt top ready for quilting. And in the construction of the quilt I had a number of HST's (half square triangles), that I decided to use in a smaller lap quilt. Both were fun projects.

And two more quilts get turned in to my group to pass along to either a nursing home or another community assistive group. I called the one "Chevy Hotel," and the other one "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden." I do enjoy doing the curved seams.

Latest quilt top. Will be going to the camp for foster kids when it's completed.

Went back and forth with the layout for the "crumb" quilt. Ended up going with the full circles. Next step - quilting.

Back from a month in Puerto Vallarta. Adjusting from short pants and tee shirts to flannel lined pants and toasty fleece tops. I will miss daily walks in the neighborhood around Isla Cuale and the wonderful art that is there everywhere you turn.

Saw this out the window on our flight out of town this morning. Mount Rainier is always an impressive sight.

Another one all quilted, washed and ready to go to the foster kids camp this summer. Used up scraps for the front and flannel leftovers for the back.

Scrappy quilt #3 is ready to be sewn together. I have actually made a great dent in my smaller scraps. It's always a walk down my quilt memory lane. 😉
