The case of Darren Sharper whom a former NFL player pled guilty in 2014 to drugging and sexually assaulting multiple women. This shows extreme deviance beyond sport rules. He violated social and legal norms.

In the nfl there many fights and concerning unnecessary violence. This is an example of a player hitting another one and not being ejected from the game. He was fined but was allowed to continue playing after a meaningless slap. heavy.com/sports/nfl/l...

This is a study showing that in many televised sports broadcasts, only about 1% of airtime was devoted to women’s sports, compared with nearly 99% for men’s sports. I used this paper for another assignment to explain how women are underrepresented in sport.
