I don’t think it was her fault—she was on our side. The real force behind this was Mitch McConnell, who had been planning for years as GOP leader to reshape the Supreme Court.

I get that she wanted to keep working, but the GOP had a long strategy to take over the Court. Given that, she should have anticipated the risk and considered retiring sooner.
