If weather is terrible, two cars driving round to see the best lights on people’s houses - blankets on knees, cups of sweets, carols playing in the car (was always a good cheap entertainment option when mine were little 🤣)

Plus chuck into the mix the truly catastrophic way SEND is being dealt with in nurseries and schools, and you have a ticking timebomb of different consequences

Anecdotally, it seems to have broken the spell with going to school - pre-pandemic, a lot (not all) of children with a myriad of MH issues would drag themselves into school as no perceived alternative (not going seen as a leap off the cliff edge). Now, they know that’s not true + alternatives exist

I read something recently that said you’re better off with a dehumidifier in terms of speed of drying - I have neither, so no idea if this is true or not 😬
