by years of dehumanization and othering... if you don't see someone as humans their humanity and life doesn't matter. So i guess the sane world's job is to humanize them, speak up for them every way we can.

both sides are wildly different when it comes to internal policy. Dems are not even comparable to the circus going on but a strong israel is very much in the strategic interests of the US and many dems do get big AIPAC money as well so it's likely that dems would've done the same with better optics.

It’s in hopes that if he gets one Nobel peace prize his ego is soothed enough to just not wage wars but more importantly it’s sucking up as usual and for this gov it’s about praising the big, strong clown.

And that’s not a good outlook. If the UN, ICC or leaders had only just portrayed semblance of respecting law and order we wouldn’t be here. There’s so much room for talks to ensure safety for everyone but unfortunately we have rabid 80 year olds wanting power at the expanse of entire generations 🤦🏻♀️

In a way US getting into Iran and any damage Iran can inflict helps Russia and even China… while it’s a delicate balance given their interests within Iran I.e. for China economic, it gives them a way to weaken US without doing much while indirectly helping Iran. Iran is built to sustain though.
