Being our MP is about getting things done for our community ✅

As well as working on your priorities locally and in Westminster, an important part of my job is having your back on individual issues and challenges.

Here’s some of what we were able to help with over October 👇

Thank you to Hollie and Aurora for taking the time to share their challenges accessing appropriate SEND provision.

Heartbreakingly young people with some of the greatest needs can often face the greatest barriers accessing early years support.

I’m determined we put that right.

📢 £150 off bills this Winter for 1000s of households locally💡

As we invest in clean energy to drive prices down over the longer term, it’s vital we do more to help with the cost of bills today.

The UK faces a nature crisis. So much of what makes our country so special is at risk.

But there are huge opportunities to harness investment in natural renewal.

Great to join @lcefuk.bsky.social to speak to environmentalists and investors about how we can most of them

It was great to see Strathmore School’s nursery included in Labour’s programme to invest in expanded nursery provision at local schools.

This is helping Strathmore expand its offer to families, helping children get the very best start in life, and they have spaces available now! 🌱👶

Such a pleasure to visit Strathmore school this week and discuss the great work they do to create such an inclusive environment for pupils.

Did you know up to *90%* of new housing estates are not adopted by their local authority?

New Home Builders Federation research shows the growing scale of the fleecehold challenge, leaving more and more homeowners on the hook for indefinite fees to unaccountable management companies.

It’s been lovely to host at our office some of Shefford Lower School’s fantastic artwork from their Global Communities Week 🌎

We all have a part to play to protect the nature and environment we all rely on, and their work is a fantastic reminder of why it’s so important 👏

Great to speak to Rep Jimmy Gomez tonight about how the Congressional Dads Caucus has led the way on parent focused politics stateside!

Plenty we can learn in the UK on the importance of progressives owning the issues that matter to dads and their families.

It’s clear in the age of smartphones we need to do more to protect young people from the harms they can bring to their education and wider wellbeing.

It was great to meet with the inspiring Esther Ghey and leading professionals in Parliament this week to discus the case for change.

Speaking to local children with SEND and their families, it’s clear if we want to create truly inclusive mainstream schools then our curriculum and assessment review will be crucial.

So today I again pressed the need for assessment and SEND reforms to work hand in hand 🤝
