What's stopping someone from opening a publication called Meanjin and continuing the legacy? UniMelb could presumably try to sue, and would probably win, but that's not exactly a low-risk strategy.

Musk has been instrumentalising Twitter/X to feed reactionary politics and its concomitant disinformation networks for the past two years. Staying there gives tacit consent to that destructive project. And yet so many institutions, politicians, broadcasters & companies remain there, morally inert.

They were good-faith mistakes, and maybe it's on me for not changing my moves based on how the ref was calling the points.

I did a bit of cricket, but my current sport is fencing. Similar things apply - ref decisions can be random. I lost a tournament bout years ago with perfect parry-ripostes that the ref did not call, but that's just how things go.

Head was hard done by for player of the match. Starc set the scene but Head won the game. #ashes

As long as Head is in, this is not going to another day. I haven’t seen a better single innings in years, if ever

yes maybe he felt something, and i get that the nearby fielders were pretty confident, but the evidence seemed a little weak. nevertheless, the umpire(s) have spoken (also there are too many cricketers named Smith in this match)
