It is “cloture” not gov closure. Cloture is a move to end debate & proceed to a vote. You want it if you have the votes to win. If we want today’s contacts & influence of our real leaders to change the minds of the weak, and to voice our protest, we want more debate time.

Schumer’s yes vote to avoid giving Trump more power during a shutdown makes no sense coming from someone who has done nothing to block the MAGA 2025 agenda while gov has been open. Thank you for your clear mind, courage, and real leadership AOC ❤️
