My dad is doing better today. He has less bandages on and he’s up and moving. Supposed to speak to the police about the car that hit him and took off. There are eyewitnesses thank god. Had to clean the blood off his scooter.

My September so far. Turned 50 on the 6th and my BFF took me out for Raman. My aunt sent me a funny card. So far 50s not bad.

So my dad was told he was going to lose his vision because of the tumor. Went to see the radiation oncologist yesterday and he told him he has no information in his eye. That’s why he can’t see. Gave him steroids to see if it helps. Took one pill yesterday and his vision is a bit better.

I saw my cousin yesterday who I haven’t seen in about 12 years. We had a falling out. He and I were so close. He was like a little brother to me. Hurt me when we stopped talking. As soon as I hugged him, tears were flowing. 🥹

Woke up to at 5 this morning to swollen lips and a swollen eye lid. Got bit by a mosquito while I was asleep. I hate the summer.

Fell down the stairs to my apartment. Got distracted and missed a step. Got a gash over my eyebrow (blood everywhere) and bruises on both of my knees. Not to mention just plain pain from falling.

Update: so my dad has had two of his five radiation sessions and he said his left eye is not hurting as much and his vision has cleared up some.

Happy 96th birthday to my grandma Clara. I’m so blessed to still have her in my life. I’m not able to see or be with her today because she lives in Corpus Christi and I’m in Houston but I did speak with her. She’s in a great mood.
