I agree with you there. I think many of us realize that if she hadn’t started from a position of privilege in a few ways, most of us would have no idea about this case and the results would be different. There is still a long way to go in this country, and sadly the road keeps getting longer.

Honestly, as a Los Angeles resident living in fear of the armed men I drive past to get to work every day (near a federal building), this case is a beacon of hope that maybe there is still a bit of justice in the world. A bit of escapism in between the tragedies of today to keep me sane.

The jurors go through voir dire (an interview) to make sure they don’t know anything about the case before hand. Both sides have a chance to ask questions and make sure they are impartial and haven’t seen anything that would bias them. Not everyone watches documentaries. And no sees them all.

I’m hoping the FBI is still looking into it. I feel that there is more coming, but if it does come from the feds we may never know exactly what evidence they have. I guess our curiosity isn’t as important as justice for John though.

Good luck. The documentaries gloss over all the insane things. But if it pulls you into the rabbit hole there’s lots to find.

Based on the way he acted in court, is anyone surprised he’d be a sore loser?
June 24, 2025 at 3:34 AM
Exactly what I’ve been thinking!

Same! 🤣

I think we all wanted to hear what they really think of her. But since they are professionals, I don’t think they would ever say publicly. It was a great interview! So happy for Runkle to have landed them!!

I got excited when he listed all my favorite YouTubers! Listening to him on Runkle now.

I watched both trials in real time going into thinking she was guilty but I like legal stuff. But for recaps from an unbiased point of view, Lawyer You Know on YouTube gives the highlights and points out the flaws in both sides… if you are interested in learning more.

And also thank you for the reasonable discussion. It’s refreshing.

Honestly I think there’s just as much possibility that he slipped and fell. But there’s for sure something wrong with the law enforcement in that town that caused an investigation so bad that the FBI stepped in. It’s sad situation for everyone involved.

Yes, but they weren’t collected until after the car was in police custody. I don’t know why in this day and age they didn’t just photograph the damage before loading it on the tow truck, but they didn’t, so there’s reasonable doubt. Bad investigation = reasonable doubt.

The DNA was not blood or tissue, it could have gotten there at any time while the car was in the garage, by closing the tailgate while helping her with groceries. There was one hair, but my hair is all over everyone’s car I’ve ever walked by. No DNA on any of the pieces of broken light. 🤷‍♀️

From your lips to god’s ears!!! 🎭🤣

Nice. Way to have a discussion. Thanks for the fun.

Prosecution’s ME and brain surgeon witness both said fall backwards = fractured skull. Honestly I feel like there’s more evidence that a tipsy John slipped and fell backwards and died. How no one saw him on the lawn? That’s the tragic part.
June 18, 2025 at 5:18 PM
His arm didn’t show any evidence of being hit by a car hard enough to break the light. No fractures or bruises = no hit hard enough to break the taillight all the way through to the diffuser. And were did the mystery bumper glass come from?
June 18, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Exactly this!!! If he wasn’t hit by a car, then clearly she didn’t hit him. She may as well have said she shot him - he wasn’t shot so it isn’t proof of anything. She’s not guilty.

I’d like to think it would have just as much coverage. I am not sure I would have found out about it without the media getting it in front of the legal side of YouTube where I found it though. It is a question worth thinking about for sure. But personally I was hooked from “Karen Read was Framed”

Nope, one more day of this stuff.
