There was a @teachertappus.bsky.social survey a bit ago that reported on how many teachers are using ai for grading, I don’t remember what the percentage was but there are definitely teachers using it for this. A teacher recently on a FB group said they were using it for grading writing.

How will the impact be measured?

Why??? We did so well at the polls last week, why give up that momentum?

I use AI occasionally to brainstorm, craft emails (only I’ve written my version first) and help me create excel macros. I have deep reservations about using AI to grade student work. Even if I’m using our districts supposedly closed system, I think my students deserve more than AI feedback.

This seems like a bad idea on so many levels.
