Have been so torn between her and Alex Kingston so far. They’re both fabulous, but tonight Karen was just spectacular. I bet Craig regrets raising that 9 paddle now!

I think if you go back through history there are plenty of badly flawed geniuses.
I love listening to Wagner, his music is astonishing, but flawed would be a bit of an understatement for the man.

Someone bought my boy a ‘story box’ - basically a box of cards with prompts / ideas for the starts and ends of stories. He chooses a couple and makes up the stories and sometimes illustrates them (although tbf he’s better at storytelling than drawing 😂). Amazing present.

Sure the Americans will be happy to pay for it. Just means drug companies based elsewhere develop them.

I am getting it. If inclusive services are also available what is the problem?
You may find it illogically triggering, but vulnerable people who’ve experienced a massive trauma aren’t always logical. And if the lack of a space they feel comfortable in stops them accessing services that isn’t ok.

If inclusive services / spaces are available how is it excluding or hurting anyone?
August 5, 2025 at 7:24 PM
I don’t think having a structure that includes some separate spaces is a problem. So long as they are not the only services available and inclusive spaces are available as well. And I don’t think wanting the option of separate spaces makes someone inherently transphobic.

But there may still be women who prefer that setting as well. Not as extreme as a phobia, but still extremely cautious of males and uncomfortable in services where they are present. I think it’s possible for those women to have that option. Always in addition to inclusive services, but available.

Being able to respond to that one person is the point here though. Some consider that request to be transphobic in itself.
Gender identity is protected in UK law, as is sex. Some see those two sets of rights as being in conflict. I don’t think it has to be case but it’s not straightforward.

Just because you doubt it doesn’t make it so.
If there is a need for such a group it should be available. As I’ve said that shouldn’t mean that anyone is excluded - the vast majority of services will continue to be entirely inclusive of all women.

Might be uncomfortable, even if they didn’t want to say so. And I think they maybe deserve access as well if it’s their preference.

I know of some kids who’ve been abused and are terrified of men. Very rarely happens, but they need separate services, patience and understanding. They should guaranteed access to services for them, but they’re a tiny minority.
Whilst they’re an extreme case I can also understand why some women…

I’d still love you to point out where I’ve said that, because I havent, as I think you know.

For know I’m going to block and report, and go about my day with my lovely family, because it’s the holidays and I can. I hope you calm down, re-read, and at least attempt to understand what I’ve said.

… from both ‘sides’ that it’s discriminatory. Everyone should have a service that suits them, and that really shouldn’t be beyond us.
