I feel sometimes that it’s harder to commit to ourselves and our #writing than it is to say no to people when they want something from us.

I worked as a #freelancewriter for the last seven years - VERY FEW friends understood that just cause I didn’t go to an office didn’t mean I had to WORK.

I 100% agree! My daughter asked if I was excited about this and i replied:

“No, not even a little bit. I’m interested in fresh, original content and new stories that haven’t already been mined for all “they” think they’re worth.”

Scary. I’m #reading a Bill Bryson #book now, A Brief History of Nearly Everything, and learning a lot.

Like how of ALL the water on Earth, we can only drink 0.001% of it, apparently. There isn’t as much as we think there is that we can use, and yea, it takes a long time to replace.

Yes, it's scary - I also enjoyed his book Prey - more about nanotechnology, and that one was horrific to me! Sphere was also a great sci-fi book... really made you think.
