Thank you for taking the time to reply Pete. This is helpful to know. In the right case, not always, perhaps a challenge to the chair would be worthwhile even if doomed to fail, just on principle.

Thank you. I think even 15 min would help people get on the phones in time.

…leeway to speak from the heart, and it’s entirely impossible to predict what will offend (the rules, or more likely, a sensitive ego)

Is there a way to reform these rules so standards can be more easily understood / applied more fairly Pete? People are waiting days, diligently following the meeting, to get their chance, and being arbitrarily cut off due to opaque/inconsistent standards is heartbreaking. Residents need some leeway

Also, after the last person is called and before council loops back to those who were missed, would it be possible to schedule a break? Otherwise the people who are offered their second and final chance will be caught off guard. A break would give them a chance to learn it’s time to try again

Lucy, thanks for these updates. I am just trying to plan so that I don’t miss my turn. For Tuesday, should I expect council to sit 3-5pm, break for dinner, and then 6-9pm, or is it less predictable than that?
