It’s just a list of things that I discovered in the last 30 years that I heard on The Simpsons as a child for the first time. I thought they were nonsense at the time, but they were real. The realizations have been gradual. But it’s fun to look back on the first time I heard X, Y, or Z.

It was from growing up with the Simpsons in the 90s. The first time I heard about humvees, it was Rainier Wolfcastle telling his partner his mighty heart was breaking and he would be in the humvee in the Chowder/chowdah episode with mayor quimby’s nephew.

Furthermore, Dr. Squatch is a company from Southern California, while Sasquatch is specifically an anglicized version of one of the Pacific Northwest tribes’ name for Bigfoot. It’s only Sasquatch if it comes from the PNW. Otherwise it’s just sparkling Bigfoot.

I love how Jessica Fletcher is the most wholesome walking thirst trap for every intelligent man who guest stars on the show, and also several women guest stars. KGB officer 100% wanted to go fishing and watch the sun rise and set with Dame Angela Lansbury every morning for the rest of his life.
