My group's most recent work, looking at surfactant mixtures in aerosol droplets, is now online in Environmental Science & Technology pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
Measurements and Model Predictions for the Surface Tension of Aerosol Droplets Containing Mixtures of Strong Nonionic Surfactants and Organic Solutes
Ambient aerosols are complex mixtures containing thousands of unique organic molecules. However, due to the large surface-area-to-volume ratio of aerosol droplets, surface-active molecules can become ...

Surface tension predictions during hygroscopic growth and cloud droplet activation using a simple kinetic surfactant partitioning model
Surface active molecules present in ambient aerosols, including sea spray, have been suggested to reduce their surface tension during hygroscopic growth and lower the barrier to cloud droplet activ...

My favorite day of the year might be the one snowy day we get in Corvallis, and bonus, they close the university so I can go outside and enjoy it.

I teach my analytical chemistry class how to use Python for data analysis. At the beginning of the term, a poll indicated that 75% of the class had never used Python before, now, just 10 weeks later, my students are submitting Python code to solve problems on assignments where it is not required. 🥰
