If you know me well, you know I believe deeply in the power of citizen diplomacy and global friendships. In my view it is always a good idea to affirm the value we place on international connections, but in these uncertain times now it is especially important to do so.

I was excited to celebrate the grand opening of the new Canyon Creek FIRE/EMS Station on 620. This marks the achievement of an ambitious goal to build 5 new Fire/EMS stations in 6 years to reduce response times, support first responders, and elevate our wildfire preparedness.
