Yes! I’m 63, and as a young nurse in the 80s had to listen to all sorts of unacceptable things.

I was suspicious of her from day 1!

It didn't even go to the NHS, but to NHS charities. All I saw of it was fancy looking drink bottle given to a nurse I worked with at a Covid vaccination centre.

I've worked as an RGN, a midwife, and an RMN. But my favourite job ever was probably as a HCA in acute mental health. I've lapsed my registration with the NMC this year (on it for many years between 1983 and 2024). I'm thinking of rejoining the trust bank next year as a HCA in MH.

It’s quite a concern to see many get promoted very soon after qualifying. I’ve seen numerous RMNs get a Band 6 within 6 months nowadays, a couple Band 7 in 2 years. There will be many mental health wards with insufficient experienced staff to mentor new nurses. Not good for staff or patients.

Because there’s been a few flakes of snow?

Depending on circumstances, it’s £3m!

And they also have 10 years to pay it.

I left the RCN when I lapsed my registration on stopping working. I've just realised that there's a membership for retired members. Would that allow me to vote on things?

Tell me more, Calvin. What happened?

Thank you. We are.

I think the lack of support during the pandemic was the final straw. She turned down a GP training place. I was initially disappointed, but given what's happening in GP I definitely think she was right to do so. Walking away was a very brave thing to do. She is happy and we got our daughter back.

Indeed. My youngest lasted 5 years in the NHS and then left clinical medicine. She's never been happier than she is now.

I bought this for one of my daughters when she got her PhD. And then for the other one when she graduated from medical school.

I agree. One of my favourite jobs was in a community hospital. Fabulous.

I’ve noticed that with my toddler grandson. (Miss Rachel videos on YouTube).

It took me until my mid 50s to not care. I could have done with it earlier.

Yup! Husband is having to take his 97 year old mother to the GP surgery for the nurse to do leg dressings. In the old days a DN would have gone out to her.
