Don’t read the room, lead the room.
You won’t see it widely reported on here, but Meta’s text based platform Threads is now bigger than MuskTwitter.
Visibility isn’t penalised either.
11,000 followers twitter, 300 or so over there, same post, 5000 views versus 1500.
(Here, probably no one 😂)

Any particular reason why you are being extra rude to your callers today @mrjamesob.bsky.social ?

Oof! What a last few of minutes in the Calcutta cup. Congratulations England, unlucky Scotland, beautiful pass and try.

Labour are delivering on the NHS. 40,000 extra appointments a week.

Remarkable.

The difference between the U.K. and the US is two weeks after changing government in the US they launch a global trade war and decimate the government institutions,

and in the U.K. the media meltdown because the PM didn’t buy his own suit and had to swap seats at the footy.

Assume we’re all pretending that a high profile AFD supporter doing a Nazi salute at the USA President’s inauguration is a “nothing to see here…”

The CAA set the most obvious trap last weekend, they’ve been attempting it over and over again for fifteen months, flagged it at every turn, and after all this time PSC and STW “marched” straight into it.
Unbelievable arrogance stupidity.

As the news discourse is so relentlessly dull presently, I decided to treat myself and rediscover my love for a good tune. Bought these little pieces of audiophile engineering art. Oh my, they are so good!

Bold move for an entitled London cyclist to ride straight at me after taking exception to me taking to long to limp across the road, however the the loud public admonishment hurled at him from wing woman @ferretgrove.bsky.social was very funny.

Pretty much every night Samson steals my seat on the sofa (he has his own armchair), however the last two nights we have no sofa, it’s been removed to make room for a new one, so consequently I stole his armchair. This is the new seating arrangement.

Why do people make up complete crap like this when challenged?
Such cowardly behaviour.

I just peeled a pomegranate without making a mess and crushing the fruit.
I cannot describe how satisfying this is.
Proudface.

In case any of you are missing Twitter. It’s still as lovely as ever.
Apparently this kindly fella is actually a grown up, an academic, an author and teacher 🤷‍♀️

I was taking a break but I cannot be silent about this.

I write this with tears flowing down my face.

Tears of relief & overwhelming hope.

Thank you to all who spoke, on either side, and unending gratitude to those who voted to make this a civilised country in which to die.

On the bill to give already dying people the choice to seek assistance in ending their suffering.
Not heard one word from anyone against it that actually addresses the way I’ve framed it, outside of against the principle.
Plenty of arguments against a bill that doesn’t exist mind

.@LouHaigh should not have resigned.

I know it’s not a very academic/liberal talking head position to take, but I don’t care it’s mine, the Starmer government should tell the Westminster media to fck off.

(I should be in charge of Labour comms)

Not on my watch Nigel - abortion time limits protect those who face the tragedy of fatal foetal abnormality from being forced to give birth to a baby that will die, not a weapon for you to get votes.

Most of the objections to the choice to seek assistance to shorten your death legislation seem to be either a criticism of not adequately funded palliative care, or an objection to existing legislation in another country, or some odd concern that one parliament can’t bind another
