Thank you - this has been an issue I seem to have to constantly defend myself of- I didn’t see those videos until the rest of the world did too. We saw a diff side of him. Appreciate your response here

We were cousins. Not BFFs. I am 8 years older. I didn’t “know” him in high school. I didn’t see the videos of him until the rest of the world did too. Yes he was odd. He had strong conservative views. But did we know that this country would take a turn where his fringe ideas gave him power? Nope.

Those videos only surfaced in the last several years. I only saw them when the rest of the world did. We were cousins. Not bffs. He was completely different w/ family than what we know now. Did I know he had strong conservative views? Absolutely. Did we know how dangerous they would become, no.
