Yesterday I attended the Workshop on #Immigration and #Democracy at Leiden University, organised by Steven Denney.

Lots of interesting discussions on civic fairness, authoritarianism, national identity, welfare chauvinism, NIMBY-ism, depopulation and immigration politics in Europe and East Asia.

Excited to share that I’ve joined the Political Science Department at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona as a Ramón y Cajal Fellow, conducting new research on parties, voters and immigration in European democracies. I look forward to collaborating and contributing to research, teaching and service.

Very happy to share that our joint work with Hanspeter Kriesi is published now in Government and Opposition (Open Access).

We analyse the impact of national governments’ policy positions on public opinion about asylum policy in the EU. Link to the full paper: doi.org/10.1017/gov.....
