Watching a documentary, I got inspired by Dr. Kaku to write a poem about supernovas, the true mother of ours. Here it is with some bits of pics and music.

Today I got a comment from somebody in Turkey who'd just printed out my #tokipona #book in Persian (pu Pasi). I'm so flattered that it's been used outside the Persian community.

[tok] jan wan li lukin e lipu pu Pasi lon ma Tuki. mi pilin wawa tan ni: lipu mi li pana e pona tawa jan pi ma ante.

I discovered an interesting phenomenon about Toki Pona – or possibly any – logographic writing system:

After reading a few pages of lipu su in Sitelen Pona, I started *visualizing* the concepts and meanings in my mind rather than *reading* the words.

I totally relate to this. I always feel short since I can't read/write Sitelen Sitelen.

I’m learning and using Toki Pona, not only because it has minimal vocabulary, but also because it has simple, minimal features in every aspect of the language:

mi:

- I, me, we, us (source: pu)
- me, I, my, mine, our, myself, us, self, we, ours, ourselves, personal, ego (source: ku)

Note: Like other words, it has no default number, but we can be more specific: mi mute, mi tu, mi ale, mi wan, etc. Placement creates possessive.

I'm quite curious, when choosing Toki Pona phonemes did you consider the fact that voiceless consonants /k, p, t, s/ need less energy to produce compared to their voiced counterparts /g, b, d, z/?

I love languages. Any languages. But Toki Pona has some unique features that makes it attractive to me: a combination of mechanical rules and artistic beauty, simplicity of sounds & structures and freedom of choice, straightforward writing system and variety of options.
