Today my husband resigned his commission in the Individual Ready Reserves (IRR). He faithfully served 10 yrs active and 5 Reserves and 2 tours in Iraq before going IRR due to medical issues. He can no longer faithfully serve this corrupt administration.

E is reading The Giver in school and I truly forgot how every book you read between 6th and 8th grade is meant to crush your soul. What next, Old Yeller, or Where the Red Fern Grows? At least in HS you graduate to some dystopian anger like The Handmaids Tale and A Doll House.
