Love sport, rubbish at doing it. Advocate for #HerGameToo Cricket. Walking London Marathon 2025 for Osteoporosis. Also crafts & cats. Views my own
Decided to escape the Manchester winter for a week in Paphos in Cyprus. Apparently it's sunny in Manchester but here we have thundery showers and (minor) earthquakes 🫤. It is warm though.

All ready for #parkrun marshaling today at Alexandra Park.

Old Trafford buzzing for the women's Hundred. Top hitting from Dottin but the Superchargers bowlers had the edge. #hergametoocricket

Bit of an AI fail from Facebook....

Forget the Oval. The important cricket was at Trafford Sports Barn. #walkingcricket #hergametoo

It's only just sinking in, but I really did complete the London Marathon. Elated and wrecked at the same time. Blisters starting to heal and can now manage stairs. All toenails intact too. Epic day I'll never forget.

Do you or someone close to you have Osteoporosis?

In 5 days, I'm walking the London marathon. It's going to take me around 8 hours & it's going to be tough. I'd love to carry a reminder of the people I'm doing this for. Those with osteoporosis like me

6am! Lightweights. Lyra says 5am is perfect getting up time - and her secret weapon is eyebrow licking.

Marathon training can be a slog, but it helps if you have a fab notebook to record everything in. Thank you @gailmyerscough.bsky.social . PS I will get back to swimming soon!

Had a fab evening at the velodrome for the National track cycling championships.

Same. Want to stay informed but it's so depressing. The rest of my feed is depressed England cricket fans who are not helping! So here are ducks in the park (who are)

Ready for an evening of Mozart and Beethoven at the stunning Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas.

With the London Marathon less than 4 months away, I've escaped for some warm weather training (aka holiday) in Las Palmas. Did a brisk 5km walk this morning. And sod all this afternoon.

We seem to have acquired a lake.

Not sure if the rain or the fireworks made more noise last night.

Happy 2025 everyone!

Favourite photo from 2024.

Hubby and I setting off on the Great Welsh swim. Longest ever swim at 3km and first time in Llyn Padarn. It rained non stop and I got very cold but I absolutely loved it.

Swans on the lake - an essential part of any winter walk in the UK.

It's #smallbusinesssaturday Please support local and independent businesses. They make such a difference to our lives and it's tough (especially with today's weather). I love our Chorlton small retailers.

Here you go. Ladies over 50s walking cricket in Trafford Sports barn. No greenery. No tea. Absolutely nothing twee. Just people who never got a chance to play cricket before having a ball.

I'm walking the London Marathon 2025 in aid of the Royal Osteoporosis Society. At 63 it'll be my first (and only) marathon. Aiming to finish on the Mall within the 8 hour cut off.

Osteoporosis can be devastating - if you can support me I'll be very grateful.

Did my long (14km) #londonmarathon2025 training walk round Salford Quays. Took this slightly sad selfie by the spot where I broke my ankle. Do miss running.
