Some people do. And, given that the right is now doing what they always said the left would do but never quite did, and TCW so far has only been able to process it through the lens of “the right is acting like the left” hopefully he’s realizing what was actually going on.

You’re finally getting it!!!! And it’s not because “tHey’re learNiNg to be censOrIUs frOm the LeFt!” it’s because they never cared about free speech to begin with. And if the argument was never good faith, what does that leave us with?

Has it occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, when Group A says X is bad when Group B is doing it, but then when they get half a chance they actually do it themselves, that Group A never really cared about X at all? Hypocrisy can be instructive but you seem not to be learning.

What he doesn’t get is that the problem with hypocrisy is never that the accused isn’t actually doing

offers only the most superficial treatment of the Trump administration’s (and almost none of their sociocultural context), and manages to entirely miss the problem with conservative hypocrisy.

He seems to think that pointing out that conservatives are being

You would think somebody who actually cares about civil liberties would be in a constant rage since the Trump administration came into power, and yet he still seems to manage to save his greatest concern for illiberal leftists,

What is with the weird, almost talismanic way people call Greenwald “consistent”? He countenances a level of insularity and corruption from Trump the likes of which he would excoriate a Democrat for, and then says he can’t stand hypocrisy. He’s not at all consistent except about Palestine.
