I went with a coaster set as my big project for the semester. The clay we use is crazy wet so even with using cookie cutters, they still warped. I’ll be doing Celtic knot designs and painting them with underglaze :) #handbuilding #ceramicsky #potterysky #ceramics #pottery #newbie

I tried my hand at carving. It’s not bad for my first time. I plan to make another one next week but without the sides and thicker. I also started a set of coasters but the clay was too wet to do anything more with them. #ceramics #pottery #handbuiltceramics #clay #newbie

My steampunk mug isn’t perfect but all it needs is a handle. Also, the tray is rough (the teacher did the nicer one) but I did the coils when I couldn’t even make one last week. #handbuilding #pottery #ceramics #secondweekofclass #mug #tray

I can only laugh at my stupidity. Didn’t realize the washing machine cleaner I used on the front gasket had bleach in it. Oops 😂
