For sure. And to be fair given the history of government shutdowns getting paid when you’re still actually in the job hasn’t been particularly guaranteed for… a couple decades, I guess? I had just left the first time I remember people not getting paychecks.

My son decided to carve into the top of our dining table, the nicest furniture we’ve ever owned. I took a deep breath and said if he wanted to carve, we should use wood that carves nicely and carving gouges. That was years ago. We share a passion for woodworking now. Keep your head and the joy. ❤️

Those kinds of microclimates are a real thing - sheltered from winds, warmed by the mass of the buildings or reflected light. You can take advantage of them to grow stuff that would normally struggle in your location. 😊

I’m 42. Same story further north (Chicago area). We’ve had at least four years in the last decade where it didn’t snow enough for my kids to go sledding even once.
