I know a lot of fans think this is the low point in the series but I always kinda liked this game. It looks great most of the time and the giant insects/animals call back to the giant snake in the first game

Honestly, me too. I played 7,8,9, and X before it but this game and DQ8 came out around the same time and grabbed me hard. I followed the strategy guides in both. Got the zodiac spear and as much as I loved the older games these solidified my love for jrpgs
