Kick-started my much-needed return to shows with Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday last night.

Made some new (local!) friends, hung out at barricade for the first time in years, and delved back into some high school nostalgia. Solid night.

I don't think we appreciate chicken nuggies enough in adulthood.

Took Dex in to see the vet today and they're changing up his meds a little bit. Seeming likely that we won't ever be able to fully wean him off.

They recommended against the CBD because we don't want his liver overworked from everything it has to process.

Internet friends and strangers - has anyone had a dog with IMHA/ITP that they've treated with CBD oil?

Dex is back and forth health-wise on what seems to be a daily basis now, and it seems all the vet can do is repeatedly run tests and put him on new meds/antibiotics.

Mental health lunch break in my mid-30s is visiting rescue donkeys and eating Cold Stone.

Good news is, this seems like yesterday's visit was Dexter's last real vet appointment for a while (We'll be boarding him with the vet next week when we're out of town, so they can handle his meds and whatnot).

I know it's not really the time of year now, but if anyone's interested in picking up one of my hand knit scarves, we've got lots of vet bills to pay, and any purchases would help chip away at them.

We hosted our 2nd annual Christkindl gathering last night, and I'm so glad that our German honeymoon led to this new tradition of ours.

Intarsia knitting with this many colors is...messy, but I think the results will be worth it. 🧶

Picture from Gary's Gay Parita in Ash Grove, MO. I had taken a trip out to Joplin for a half marathon and spent an unplanned day cruising up to Springfield and back. Met some of the friendliest business owners that day.

Still learning, but I made my own sourdough starter over the summer and it's super satisfying to bake my own bread. Plus the house smells amazing every time.
