As an aspiring game dev, I’m taking note of how I can lose sight of the big picture because I’m obsessing over a detail. Recently thought I was making a story/concept mistake when really I was making a game mechanic mistake. Better late than never.

The Inheritance on Hulu was a bad horror movie with poor writing, acting, and the boring typical “we put a bunch of basic spooky occult stuff for the bad plot, pentacle and all”, but at least they picked the right demon when it comes to bargaining for wealth.

#indiegamedev update: I let my life frustrations fuel a scene and I made a breakthrough with the puzzle mechanics I want for a part of my visual novel game. When the motive of an MC is emotionally charged and merged with an upcoming challenge for the player, the drive to win is more enticing.

I’ve been working on just one page of this #darkart #horror #coloringbook illustrated by François Gautier for soooo long and it’s nowhere near finished, but I wanted to show my progress with alcohol based markers. Please be proud of me lol. These books keep me so calm.

I’ve been thinking about making gaming videos on YouTube for a long time along with being a musician while pursuing my #gamedev goals. At first I thought I was jeopardizing my project management goals, but…I think I can do it. I haven’t touched my YT channel in years anyway.

- Got Logic Pro X for producing game soundtrack and realized a good DAW makes a difference
- Wrote two choice-based scenes and 3 character dev outlines.
