Trying to leave novel alone (with agents) and novella alone (with beta) so back to studying the craft.

I usually pick up these books and read the bits I’m interested in.

I’m not sure that’s how you master the craft but it does seem to be the best way to get me to write.

I absolutely loved The Unworthy (I read an eARC) and couldn’t wait to reread a physical copy.

I wasn’t as obsessed with the UK cover as the USA one (LOOK AT ITTT) so I ordered it from a US distributor.

I just think it’s stunning.

I have a soft spot for the festival because it’s where I met my wonderful writing group in 2018. But this year, the line-up was next level!

I was delighted when they reached out to ask if I wanted press tickets for some events YES PLEASE!

When I see people reading queer, intersectional, anti-colonial books it encourages me to raise the bar of my thinking.

It reminds me to challenge my world view.

It helps me imagine a world beyond the narratives we are told are possible.

It reminds me to stay hopeful.

Finally got round to reading I Who Have Never Known Men after a Lit Agent told me it was a strong comp for the novel I’m querying.
