About 3-4 times a year a group of us meet up in Sweden/Online for a writing retreat. We are from everywhere so are called 'Writers From Distant Lands'. I love these people! They are so creative and inspiring and I always feel motivated afterwards.

We met yesterday and I wrote about 4000 words!

Not as high as I wanted due to health hiccups but still here and still writing, so I'm going to take that as a win.

I've been dealing with health issues recently. I have #endometriosis which causes pain, exhaustion and brain fog.

I’ve had a bad few days and it feels shit not to write. But I want to use this challenge to find strategies to be productive even during the bad days.

I'm usually very bad at having a routine. I'm a binge writer who writes when the moment hits me. But for #NovelNovember I'm going to challenge myself to:
1. Write something every day.
2. Not re-read and edit as I go.
3. Finish a messy, would never show to anyone first draft of my novel.

Joining #NovelNovember this month means a lot to me. It's been a tricky year, I've had major health issues since April and there was a time I thought I would never be well enough to do anything, let alone write again. But I'm FINALLY feeling better and ready to tackle this!

A story about a clockwork girl trapped in her own home who runs away with the circus. Think Erin Morgenstern's 'The Night Circus' crossed with 'Pinnochio'.
