Fancy seasonal looking latte at work today

And finally, not a ghost, but I liked the contrast between the monkey puzzle and the beech tree.

I think the hooded and veiled figures are the most effective for the chicken wire ghosts. Also locations with medieval stone coffins do help to sell the vibe.

Ghost peacock!

Ghost owls! These were my favourite.

You’d think you’d stick to paths rather than rough cut grass with old bicycle wheels in general, let alone if on a penny farthing. Perhaps that’s how he died.

Last year’s fave, the bear - a good location lurking deep in a flowerbed but a lot of tourists and slightly awkward position meant I struggled to get a good angle

The knight was one of the best figures but the bamboo grove location felt a bit weird

Of all the places for an archbishop to haunt at York, it’s a flowerbed. (Or maybe he was the abbot, that would make more sense geographically, but I think wouldn’t have a mitre?)

I think I recognised the gardener from last year - slightly jaunty angle and swaying in the wind a bit, which slightly spoiled the effect

Went for a walk in Museum Gardens post physio appointment (hope they’re proud of me) - it was looking good in lovely weather and with the ghost trail (also there but not pictured, approx 3 million tourists).

This means I have to post this picture of Euclides on holiday. She’s looking very noble and especially photogenic here.

The ghosts are back!

Most of my notes are very succinct but occasionally I find evidence that my mind had clearly wandered in a meeting.

Well that makes sense, I imagine you do need to be careful cleaning geese.

Choosing to believe this is just an increasingly awkward string of obscure euphemisms.

I hear Paddington’s footsteps nearby.

And I also love this finial carving, also in the Lindisfarne priory museum. I don’t know if it’s a pig or the first depiction of Greedo from the cantina in Star Wars, but it’s great
