A very deep joy to celebrate at St Mary and St John this morning, it is such a special place. I love chaplaincy but there is nothing like a parish church on a Sunday morning.

Linocutting worship in chapel today. Made a stained-glass window inspired side-eye angel. Such a fun job.

Margery Kempe today. Following childbirth she was attacked by demons, commanding her to abandon her faith, friends, and family and encouraging her to take her own life.

Many of us know those demons intimately - prayers for you today. Keep on going. Holy Margery, pray for us.

Adore autumn skies

On St Luke’s day I pray for medics worldwide, for those training for the profession here, for those in the bombed hospital in Gaza, for strength against the horror and for their kindness and compassion. This is not retaliation against rockets, it is indefensible. Lord, have mercy.

It’s a stand-over-the-radiator-and-send-emails-from-phone kind of a morning. Glad of my quilted waistcoat.

Prayers for whatever the day holds. Trying to hold the heaviness of the world in my heart for a bit.

Ran out of cups and chairs and cookies at the new Friday afternoon craft session. I love having a full office.
