12) Jeralt was not buried with Sitri for obvious reasons. He was cremated and his remains were buried in the public cemetery near Ifan although Byleth never visits. Eventually, Dimitri learns about her parents’ situation and helps Byleth give excuses to their friends and children why their grandpa was not buried near their grandma (lost at sea, went to war? Etc) One of their kids might have known but kept it a secret to everyone else 13) Jeralt worked as one of Yuri’s father’s bodyguards but because he felt sorry for Yuri, he helped him out and provided information to help him overpower his father. So yes, Jeralt still has some good in him in some aspects or maybe he’s really turning a new leaf now that he’s older

3) The backstory of Jeralt is he’s about 5 years younger than Rhea, so they were more pretty close to age than Sitri. In fact, he was Rhea’s trusted servants and often babysat Sitri when she was a child. That’s how they got close and all those times, Rhea didn’t think anything about it but in fact he was already grooming her at that age. 4) Sitri grew up having a strict mother who didn’t allow her to do anything at all other than church affairs. Rhea considered her as a ‘mistake’ and had raised her to be a perfectly obedient daughter who would inherit her role as archnishop. Sitri felt trapped and only had Jeralt to talk to and so she trusted him and genuinely wanted to have a life outside of the 5) At the time Sitri was about to turn 16, Rhea, was around 55 and wanted her to take over church duties so the pressure was weighing down on her. That was when Jeralt took advantage of the situation and convinced her to elope and have a child with him. He was close to 50 at that time. 6) Rhea was very furious with her daughter when she learned about it and blamed Sitri even though she was the victim. Being the archbishop, she forced Sitri to carry the baby to term with the plan of putting the kid up for adoption 7) Jeralt meanwhile escaped and his crime was not widely known mainly because the church was keeping the scandal a secret. But when he heard about how Sitri was being treated and her gradual decline, he felt guilty and went to check on her. 8) Sitri could not bear to see her baby and one night driven by grief she tried to kill her crying newborn. That was when shit hit the fan 9) Jeralt kidnapped Byleth and lived as a fugitive and kept running from one country to another, until he settled into the Abyss 10) He genuinely took care of Byleth as a kid, but as she grew older, she looked more and more like Sitri and it was like a daily reminder for him on what he did and so he turned to drinking to numb out his guilt and eventually he became an alcoholic 11) He also rarely slept at home and preferred spending his nights at the abyss, as he does not trust himself to do anything vile to Byleth while she’s there

Suddenly, everything made sense. “His Highness suddenly darted off the moment he recognized you from a distance…” Gilbert continued. “I didn’t realize he could run so fast.” “Ah…well, he does indeed run fast,” Dimitri agreed. “Are you currently instructing him on something?” “We were supposed to start training him basic table manners,” the older man answered. “However, things aren’t progressing as I hoped.” “Perhaps the little one needs a break,” Dimitri said, even though it was much obvious that the former knight needed it more than Bee. He had a feeling that the young boy would not let go without a fight, and judging on the hour, he must have been struggling to teach him all this time. “Let me take care of him for a while. I wouldn’t mind having a break myself.”

I should've been updating here and I will try to post more so anyway, here's a teaser for a #dimileth fic I'm aiming to post next month for #wipwednesday. feat sugardaddy au and baby's first yan fic so yeah, I'm really excited about it
“What time will your classes end?” he asked her. “Around five in the afternoon,” she replied. “But I might be an hour late because Dorothea insisted we have a club meeting for our school festival next month.” “Wouldn’t that be a bit tiring?” he probed. “That’s what I said,” Byleth frowned. “But she won’t say no for an answer. I figured we could do some brainstorming with everyone so I don’t think it would take long.” “Alright, but remember we’re meeting Alois later,” he said. “I’ll pick you up at six.” Byleth gave him a pleading look, but they both knew that there was no room for arguments once he set a time. “Okay, I’ll make sure to tell her that,” she sighed. “I’m going to be so tired later.” “Then, you should wrap that up and eat,” Dimitri pointed out. “Before the food gets cold.” Without prompting, he cut a piece of her bread into a bite sized portion, spreading some butter before spoon feeding it to her like he always does. Instinctively, Byleth opened her mouth and took the bread given to her, chewing as she tidied up her things. Dimitri continued cutting up her food, this time giving her a fork of eggs and some sausage. “Chew thoroughly,” he reminded. “Or you might get a stomachache.” She frowned, and Dimitri heard her silent ‘I know’ to him, which he found to be adorable. Still, as her guardian, he needed to be strict. “I’m only doing this for your sake,” he said. “No need to get so defiant.” That only made her frown even more, to which he stifled a laugh. Byleth still acted like a kid at times. It was a delight to see. “I can eat on my own, you know,” she retorted. “Yes, but this way, I’ll be assured that you won’t wolf down your food in a minute,” he explained. “After all, proper digestion is a crucial part of eating. Your health is very important to me.”

Preview for the next chapter of Crimson Lion: where Byleth is forced to defend Garreg Mach using Gilbert's 'burn the castle plan' and deal with the aftermath. #wipwednesday
“So many units, and you still can’t defeat us…The Empire’s generals are not as formidable as I’d heard,” Gilbert mocked the young General, who took a second to check Byleth. “Quiet! Don’t think you’ll get away with mocking me!” General Randolph was easily affected by Gilbert’s words. “Attack their commander! Make sure they never speak again!” The Imperial soldiers quickly ran to Byleth’s direction, weapons at hand as they reached the town centre. As Byleth suspected, the soldiers knew that capturing her would give considerable advancement on their ranks. Even without Gilbert’s taunting, they would still run towards her. “Now!” Gilbert shouted and Byleth raised her arm as a signal for Catherine to pull the trigger. Immediately, all the soldiers who charged were covered in a sea of flames, as explosives blasted below the floor, trapping those who managed to survive. “Attack!!!” Byleth commanded and almost instantly a rain of arrows shot through the poor soldiers, killing them all. The remaining stragglers by the edge of the firing range almost injured their joints as they desperately ran away to safety, only to be met by the blades of axe, lance and sword, from the previous defensive line that has shifted its strategy to attack. In the midst of it all, Lindhart, Annette, Flayn and Ashe had been doing their best to cast a good enough wind spell to send direct the smoke to the enemy’s direction. Byleth let out a sigh of relief as everything turned out well. Perhaps she was really getting paranoid after all. Suddenly, as if to challenge everything she just concluded, a loud howl was heard from within the flames—Dimitri had rushed into the enemy lines and started his rampage on the trapped soldiers. Byleth had to bite her tongue to keep herself from cursing. Naturally, Felix and Sylvain ran after him to support his onslaught before Byleth could

The cold words pierce her heart like a knife. “No” she admitted. “I don’t think there’s anyone here who can…” “I’m sure Mercedes—” “She’s a Bishop, not a doctor, Dimitri” she retorted. “Manuela will be here in a few days so I will just wait for her return” She was starting to feel irritated at his avoidance to her and thought that it would be better to leave him for now and just return when she has calmed down. “I saw wild barley scattered on the side of your room.” She stopped halfway when she heard his statement. Suddenly it all clicked. The last time they were together, weren’t they worried about her being pregnant? Surely if that was the case, she would have…but that didn’t make sense. Months have passed since Byleth got captured by the Adrestian soldiers. The war is coming to an end, and despite her previous affiliation with enemy forces, Edelgard managed to use her influence to remove her status as a prisoner of war, and be regarded as a person crucial to their victory in Gronder field. That was the story Edelgard had forced to her people, anyway. While technically that was true, it didn’t mean that Byleth was a willing party in all of that. Rather, she was kidnapped, taking advantage of the internal dispute that was happening within the Kingdom forces, one of their spies reported her secret to Edelgard, and used the commotion in Gronder field to snatch her away. They initially contained her in a prisoner camp, but it didn’t take long for the Empress to take pity and treat her as an honorary guest. A pregnant woman should not be treated like a common criminal after all. Much more, a former Professor. Edelgard would not allow that to happen. Eventually the cries that rang throughout the room was not Byleth’s but her son’s voice. He was finally born despite the dangerous circumstances he was in. It was Edelgard who held him first, as Byleth did not even acknowledge that her son was alive, maintaining the blank stare as the healers did their best to stitch her up and keep her out of death’s door. She caught a glimpse of the young Empress with tears in her eyes as she brought the baby close to her chest, until she blacked out. A month has passed and Byleth still refused to hold her child, ignoring every cry as she stared blankly in the wall. A wet nurse was called to take care of his needs, and the servants make sure that he is being cared for despite his mother’s refusal to do it herself. Edelgard visits the room everyday to check up on them, but there was still no sign that she will ever recover from her condition. “Professor,” Edelgard tried to reach her again. “Please come back to us. Your son needs you”
