I sometimes wonder if people who insist that everything is a distraction have to run their own errands. “This grocery trip is a distraction from the REAL issue, which is the weird noise my engine is making! The fact we’re out of toilet paper is a distraction from the REAL issue which is dinner!”

Amber went on a week long Adventure highlighted by playing in snow for the first time and visiting her first dog park. The dog park was in Chattanooga, a city that I love more every time we visit.

Identified 9 different birds in 10 minutes this afternoon via the Merlin app's sound identification function. It sounded like a zoo aviary, the birdsong was so loud!

Had to rescue Amber the Adventure Dog from clear plastic wrapping suspiciously blowing along the fenceline in the wind. The offending plastic wrapping has been captured, incapacitated, and secured in the proper receptacle. Peace and security had been restored. Time for a nap

Once a year, we get a huge flock of robins in the yard. They typically hang around here for about a week or so, and then they're gone. They just showed up today. The birdsong is loud!
