Maybe one day I'll try my hand at zines again, but this experience will always remain in my heart

It was a pleasure working with wonderful people, discussing favorite anime with them, and just talking about the drawing process. The project turned out to be very cute, and the way zine looks in its final form is simply beyond all praise.

I consider this work to be one of my strongest this year. A lot of things are great in it, from the characters to the lighting (I really like how the workshop and Junko turned out). A good art goes along with a great zine.

I was very lucky that it was at that time that I received a graphic tablet with a screen and I was finishing my art on it. This made the drawing process much easier.

The sketches were difficult. There was always something missing in my art, but after going through the pain and sleepless nights, I finally found the perfect option. Well, then you know: line and paint.

And here's luck, my application was accepted. The idea of the art is as follows: "Junko paints a portrait of Hachi while she is surrounded by portraits of people important to her." It's a sin not to take an idea that's close to your heart.

It's even kind of sad that I almost didn't draw characters from this anime.… I'll fix it next year, but for now, let's talk about something else. It was my dearest wish to participate in the zine. I wanted to see the backstage of such projects and get to know good artists.

I'm a fan of Nana. I admit, I haven't read the manga completely, but I was absolutely delighted with the anime. I love anime for its aesthetics, music and the full mountain of glass that the author gives us. Adore.

I am especially ashamed that I have not shown this art for so long, even though it has brought something new to my life. This work was done for Sweet Nana Zine, which was the first zine I participated in.
