They spawn on our beach every year in March on the Gulf of Mexico. End up helping those that get knocked on their back by the surf.

Neat critters.

Definitely. In this day and age and environment, my family’s safety comes first.

It really is. A little scary at times the technology that can be packed into a $500 machine. But I do enjoy it.

Go out in a grass field at night with a powerful headlamp and shine it on the ground. You will see hundreds of diamond like reflections from spider eyes. Unsettling to some, reassuring to me.

Understandable! Pyrenees are great dogs, but a lot of people don’t realize they are a challenge as well, so a lot end up in adoption or euthanasia facilities. They are wonderful dogs, but you don’t have a traditional dog master relationship with them.

My Pyrenees has declared war on any and all bears coming onto our property. So far she is 3 and 0 against them, thank goodness.

We have a place on the Gulf which is a perfect place for Southern celestial objects, but I was able to catch Bode’s over the roof peak. Look forward to next summer to get some “northern exposures” on Superior.

Did Bode’s Galaxy the other night.

A bit of one, One suggestion I have is to skip the Celestron hand control it is a bit dated. I got a wifi attachment and use the Sky Safari app to control the telescope. It is GUI and much more instinctual.

No, it is pointing more and more towards that direction.

I am not the greatest yet at planets but here are a couple I did with the Celestron and my cell phone.
