Agree. In his head (& factually correctly, yet still planned & as part of a larger plan) he was standing for "M'Lady" & I'd bet dollars to donuts his plan is to ONLY stand for her from the 'strong alliance'.

Saw someone say in the comments on the RHAP YT pod from Mike & Jess, that considering Sing had judgement on movements too, Dance may well have been the 'easier/less complicated' of the two.
& that's not necessarily making one easier, just technically less to do.
