The number of posts I've almost sent but I ended up deleting out of fear of them getting out of containment far exceeds the number of posts I've actually made over my past 15 years on social media.

And, maybe the "worldwide" you're envisioning - the one that gives you so much engagement (Twitter) - isn't a great world.

In fact, maybe it's a shit world that only rewards shit work. Why would you want that?

In a more representative place, maybe your ideas are just worthless?

I did go see the RiffTrax of Manos: Hands of Fate in the theater, and it was hysterical. 10/10.

I'm jealous. My downstate representative just likes to say "Hitler's right about one thing."

I'm a Bears fan and almost turned it off at that time. Absolute stunner of a game.

I feel like I missed something in Sinners. It was enjoyable for sure, but I was expecting more. That's why I sort of hate any kind of expectations with something. I usually end up disappointing myself.

I've seen plenty of the classics at home. Spinal Tap was one of the first DVDs I ever purchased.

These were just the two movies he directed that I saw in theaters.

Rob Reiner movies I saw in the theater:

North

Yep. I was a young kid and went with a friend.

My wife (who I was dating at the time) also made me go see Rumor Has It as well.

I feel like I should win some award for enduring both of those while not getting to experience the good stuff.

This is easy. Pretty much any movie on HBO in the 1990s.

No OT for that game. Just send them both home with a tie if the Jets don't score.

Got this for a Christmas present from my in-laws this year. Looking forward to my first issue!

Well, I think if they ever tried to make The Marvelous Land of Oz or explain any of the origin for the character Ozma and attempt to stay true to the source material, conservatives would freak out and call it woke.

You're stronger than I am.

It's a parallel to the people opposed to late term abortions. My wife and I were so excited for both children. If we had to make that choice due to some medical issue, it would have devastated us.

People that assume parents in that position are being glib are monsters.

As someone who's watched his wife give birth two times, I couldn't even make it through the first two paragraphs before I had to stop. Absolute ghouls who deserve worse than public drone strikes.

I can't imagine the guilt and shame those women have gone through because of those grifters.

I love how this tries to claim that Musk's "high IQ" would have been overcome his lack of physical ability. The average professional athlete isn't a PhD, but in their fields they tend to be extremely intelligent AND have the physical talents.

Such condescension to professional athletes.

I've got enough patreon subs right now, but is there a way to listen with ads somewhere else?

Is it something in the QB cadence? The Bears have had that trouble at times with multiple guys, so I always feel like a lot of it's got to be the QB. Especially when they QB is young. It's the only consistent factor.

The same thing libertarians were always into: consent laws and feelings of superiority.

It's one of my favorites. My daughter and I watched that last summer. She really enjoyed it. We watched Rear Window a couple days ago because of the latest @whmpodcast.bsky.social episode. She was literally covering her eyes and talking at the TV due to the suspense of the last act. It was awesome.

My band played Lived in Bars back in the day. Doesn't feel like it's been that many years.

Enjoy that one for me.

Exactly!

I saw this episode as a kid and recently did a re-watch as well. More surprising than the incredibly dated special effects was the fact it's based on a George R R Martin story.

Now I wish they'd remake GoT in a similar mid 90s style.
