Took my daughter to the first place I lived in Japan, Takaoka-shi. So many changes. There’s a shinkansen station there now. The businesses near the old station are dying whereas the newly developed area is thriving. #Japan #travel #tourism

After a mercifully short struggle with cancer, my mom has passed away. I am forever thankful that she had time to spend with my daughter as well as the rest of her grandchildren.

She will always be there in my mind’s eye. A bright smile, and a quick laugh. Rest in Peace Mom.
