Had a quick look at the Terrängbil 16… I think the G-class was what I was thinking of, a basic soft-skin utility vehicle. The Terrängbil is more a light PMV, like the Hawkei in Aus service. That being said, drawing wise the Terrängbil is probably cooler and more distinctly Swedish.

What is the Swedish sort of general purpose vehicle anyway? Like the Yanks have the HMMWV, the Poms have Land Rovers, the Aussies have Perenties and now G-Wagens. What do the Swedes use?

Is this what they had the Bandvagn out for?

From memory size wise, on the civvie side, it goes: Widgeon > Goose > Mallard > Albatross. There’s a couple of Turbo Mallards fly out of the airport I go through for work, and seeing them is always a treat.

Yeah… it’s hard to beat the ‘Bou. Spartans are cool and all, but it’s not quite the same.

If I ever won millions of dollars I would 100% fit one out for very stylish adventure.

Well, Goose in this case, but honestly anything from the Grumman flying boat line is ❤️.
