Speaking of Eloise, Alfie was thrilled to crash Yoga at the school last Friday to hang out with her a bit! One of Alfie's jobs in the school is to teach children how to carry on when adorable distractions may be present!

Alfie is getting better at longer stretches if sleep in the night. Regardless of how the night goes, every morning he is insistent about a little “chair time” before getting on with his day.

The first day he was outside when the orders in the school came out for recess, ever fearless, Alfie pulled at his leash, insistent to follow them. On the playground, he was running between them when he noticed a sound... a basketball. Immediately, Alfie sprinted over to take over the game.

One fascinating thing we discovered about Alfie, is how VERY responsive to music he is. It immediately calms him down when he's upset, he can fight it all he wants but it will lull him to a soothing sleep fast at night. Zephyr introduced him to the piano last week and he was immediately transfixed!

In the fall, Ren scholars select a new crocheted hat for the year. Alfie certainly dove into the selections and helped himself. The ribbons on top drew him right in! As it has turned out, he enjoys sporting a variety of head gear!

His first Vet visit was great. All the usual potential congenital bulldog things seemed pretty clear. Eyes, ears, heart, respiratory, and more all checked out. We were quite shocked to hear that he is a relatively "quiet" breather for an English Bulldog!
