I'd not been listening for long and was also spending 1st Christmas alone after a break-up. Radio Times preview said something like 'John's latest attempt to woo Hayley backfires' and I was expecting some light-hearted japery. Brilliant radio but made a very unmerry Christmas that year.

Oh, and also you were brill by the way.

Our young un works there. She said that the crowd for you two (which included me) were a very nice and well behaved bunch, unlike some other blokey audiences she could name (but won't cos she's a professional).
