Saw Peter Hujar’s Day last week and loved it, and I’m excited we got it on 35mm for a short run at @brattletheatre.bsky.social Fri-Tues! Shot on 16mm, there’s a lovely warmth and texture to this movie, evocative of the mid-70s setting, it’s gonna look so great on film

Inspected a pretty banged up (and somewhat vinegar-y 😞) print of A Swingin’ Summer today that had these ridiculous homemade, layered cues but I like how this one looks like an apple

ok tbh the last two illustrations for the Lynch calendar were ones I put off because I didn’t have any ready composition ideas, but I think I’ve found a good direction for Lost Highway so I’ve been sketching it out this evening…

28 Oddity (2024, Damian McCarthy): this has been on my watchlist since it came out but I didn’t actually know much about it. Glad I ended up seeing it on the big screen since it ended up being exactly my kind of thing and def benefits from the theater experience! Spooky!!!
