Wednesday night at @brattletheatre.bsky.social we are kicking off a series celebrating Chicago with a personal teen fave on 35mm 🚓😎🎷

Trying to think about literally anything else I just noticed I hit 200 yesterday for movies projected on 35mm (individual titles, not the amount of screenings or even prints), that’s neat imo

Saw Peter Hujar’s Day last week and loved it, and I’m excited we got it on 35mm for a short run at @brattletheatre.bsky.social Fri-Tues! Shot on 16mm, there’s a lovely warmth and texture to this movie, evocative of the mid-70s setting, it’s gonna look so great on film

OK LYNCH CALENDARS HAVE BEEN ORDERED AHHHH

tysm to all who pre-ordered, I really appreciate it since the printing cost was pretty steep. I'll be shipping them out within the next two weeks! You can still order now; get in on the ground floor of this hot gift item 😎

If you can EVEN believe it, I've finished all twelve illustrations for the Lynch calendar! As usual I started losing my mind a little at the end so Inland Empire turned out unexpectedly wacky. I'll be placing the print order soon, please order now if you def want one!

every single time some quote from that nuzzi piece comes around all i can picture is her being like "i love the politician" to this creature specifically

I’ve been putting this one off because I’m intimidated by the idea of making art for it but I gotta do it so here I go, determined to finish this weekend

Inspected a pretty banged up (and somewhat vinegar-y 😞) print of A Swingin’ Summer today that had these ridiculous homemade, layered cues but I like how this one looks like an apple
November 13, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Ok I just have ONE MORE illustration to do for the Lynch calendar then I’ll be placing an order after formatting the files. Please pre-order now if you’d def like one so I can figure out how many to get printed, thank you!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to @thecoolidge.bsky.social last night for the start of their Gloria Grahame Noirvember series! Lots of folks seeing In a Lonely Place for the first time (on beautiful 35mm) and I think we had a great post-screening discussion!
November 5, 2025 at 4:28 PM
ok tbh the last two illustrations for the Lynch calendar were ones I put off because I didn’t have any ready composition ideas, but I think I’ve found a good direction for Lost Highway so I’ve been sketching it out this evening…

30 Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992, Francis Ford Coppola): Rewatch. I can’t really fully count this since I only watched parts as I was projecting it on 35 and multitasking with other stuff but it’s nice to reach a round number and it was still a part of my Shocktober festivities so here we are 🧛🏻‍♀️
November 1, 2025 at 12:13 AM
29 Graveyard Shift (1990, Ralph S Singleton): I hadn’t watched any King adaptations this month so pulled up this one that was on my radar due to Brad Dourif. Feels like it shares themes/aesthetics with Tobe Hooper’s The Mangler but the latter is weirder and more effective imo

Losing my fucking mind because I decided to try and hand draw velvet? What???

I need to go in and clean some stuff up but overall I think this is done, phew!

trying to ship a zine to the UK for the first time in ages and after finally figuring out a tariff number, I get this "prohibited item" warning because I guess the postal service assumes anything labeled "art book" is... porn????? I'm genuinely unsure what to do
October 30, 2025 at 4:24 PM
28 Oddity (2024, Damian McCarthy): this has been on my watchlist since it came out but I didn’t actually know much about it. Glad I ended up seeing it on the big screen since it ended up being exactly my kind of thing and def benefits from the theater experience! Spooky!!!
October 30, 2025 at 2:02 AM
27 Olivia (1983, Ulli Lommel): More a horror-adjacent drama, but pretty effective! Combines a few different genres, moods, and styles, but also surprisingly understated in its way.
