I didn't expect to find this one in my WIP, but here we go 😄
‘We’re hunting a deserter. Girl, about the age of your boy, brown hair to her shoulders, wearing recruit’s grays.’ The way he speeds through the description he must’ve repeated it a dozen times. ‘The Lord Grias and Captain Thylan Greythorn will pay you three moons’ worth of a soldier’s wage for her return.’ ‘Close your mouth, boy.’ The farmer elbows me in the side.
