Not 100% sure I don't think he had a writer credit on either but I believe I heard he had more input on 2 then 1 but not 100%. My main issue is some of the things I've read he wanted to include in flash that all kinda just made me go uhhhhhh

Not all directors have script input it usually depends on who it is. Muschietti has some writing experience but personally alot of his stuff I like is stuff where his involvement in writing was minimal
