Ensemble forecasts outperform most individual models.
Strong performance at short-term horizons.
These results reinforce the importance of multi-model epidemic forecasting.

- Using advanced simulations and analytics we designed an optimized network of sentinel airports. Just 10-20 sites can provide early detection of pathogens.
📊 Beyond a threshold, more sites marginally improve—optimization matters!
🌎 Well-placed sentinel sites provide timely situational awareness.

Glad to share the retrospective analysis of the modeling strategy developed in past years to assess, in real-time, the risks of emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants. Results shows projections performance in capturing the emergence and dominance of two key variants.
