I saw that! Those descriptions of records were like secret codes that even to this day I probably don’t get. For hip hop tunes he would always identify the sample which was a great way of finding out about funk records

Haha. Can’t imagine being able to read my writing from that time. Would have been interesting to see which shops you bought from. Reminds me of the time when I kept a notebook of bpms from James Hamilton record mirror column, in the vain hope it would help me learn to mix. It didn’t
