I kind of ignore anything even remotely related to AI on HN. It's not good for my mental health.

I still occasionally code in C++ (ultimately targeting WASM), and I love this feature.

if-else statement (C++)
Use if-else, if-else with initializer, and if-constexpr statements to control conditional branching.

What have you noticed in particular? For me, it‘s an increase in troll commentors and (astroturfing?) AI hypesters. On average though I still enjoy the place and it‘s my primary tech news source.

Can confirm this strategy works well. Bonus points if you also buy a gamer PC first, and then basically never touch it.

Not sure if it's the "go-to tool", but I enjoy iA Presenter:
ia.net/presenter
You basically write Markdown and it does the rest. Doesn't work if you like tweaking slide layouts though.

Plenty of suggestions for more appropriate and respectful replies in the HN comment section.
What I can say as a half-Japanese, is that "hop on a call" might be super uncomfortable for that person if they're not fluent in spoken English. Assuming that would be the language the call is in.

Right? Considering the initial post, I really, really struggle to see how you wouldn't interpret it as arrogant and completely tone-deaf. "Let's bulldoze 20 years of unpaid volunteer work with AI translations. Oh yeah we deployed to prod without asking you. But let's hop on a call kthxbye"

I also enjoyed the „Deep Learning specialization“ by Andrew Ng on Coursera. Wanted to understand more about the fundamentals.

If you had to take a guess, when will we see Chrome and others arriving on iOS, powered by their own engines, in jurisdictions that are "waking up" to Apple's spiel (UK, EU, Japan)?
